"There are no great things, only small things with great love."

Looking for opportunities to serve God and people?

River of Life is re-learning how to be the Church,
how to be the people who take Jesus' last words seriously in every moment of our life. We call this understanding of life "missional." It just means that we are all trying to see ourselves as missionaries no matter when or where we are. Jesus was (of course) correct when he told His disciples that the fields were "ready for the harvest."

He encouraged them to ask God to bring people who were willing to work those fields, willing to spend their lives touching the hurting, lonely, those in need. Remember, Jesus spoke those words right after He saw how many people around Him were "harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." Our world is no different today.
If you have the desire and willingness to learn with us what it means to live a missional lifestyle, we'd love to talk with you. In Sanford, as in any community, the fields are quite ready and the variety of needs is endless.

A few of the opportunities we're looking for people to get involved in are:

  • ministry interns
  • pregnancy and aftercare for unwed mothers
  • men's and women's ministry
  • youth and family crisis intervention
  • prison and juvenile criminal intervention
  • worship music ministry
  • children's church teaching
  • mentoring
  • administration and coordination
  • pastoring
  • community partnerships
Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved with any of these or similar efforts or if you just have questions. You can call 207.651.4866 or email Ray Noyes. Thanks so much!
