It has been said that the goal of the human life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever (The Westminster Catechism). We're pretty sure that part of enjoying God is enjoying the great things He's given us in Creation: friends, music, sports, food, hanging out. That's why we try to incorporate these things in all we do. Over and above our weekly regular gatherings, here's some of the other things we do in order to serve our community and enjoy life:

River of Life Softball Team- Put me in coach! This is your chance to be involved in some great exercise, fun, and competition with a great bunch of folks, on the ROL Team and the many other great teams of the SCSU League.  For more info see the calendar, or email Gil Emmons. The 2008 season is done for the year but start planning for next year. 

ROL had a chance to win it's first ever Division C championship. We have never been to the final playoff round. We faced Next Level Church beginning Monday 8/11. The Monday game on Blouin Field ended in an exciting walk-off win by ROL 5-4. Tuesday the battle moved to E. Rochester Elementary where NLC came away with a 15-11 victory. Thursday night was the finale. NLC was very alive @ the plate all game. Without some excellent ROL plays the score would have been much higher. Down 8-1 in the 7th ROL refused to go away. River had plated 6 with 2 out and 2 on when the final batter flied out (nearly a hit). ROL would like to Congratulate Next Level Church and see you all next year!!
